Demand for Java programmers
Several Arden Training client companies have expressed a need for experienced Java programmers. The requirement is for individuals that have at least three years of programming experience using the Java language.
A manager of a group of 30 programmers for a medical software company said that quality of work they were getting from an Indian company to whom they outsource work said that the quality of work they were experiencing from the contracted individuals was not acceptable. They are looking for individuals to take over this work. | |  |
University of Notre Dame 2012 Executive MBA program commences
The executives who are beginning their Masters of Business Administration education have started their program. The students began their education in an immersion program at the South Bend campus. Their Cincinnati campus classes begin soon. This class of 2012 is one of the largest groups Notre Dame has had in the eight years it has been providing this program in Cincinnati. The sessions are held at the Arden Training Center in Blue Ash.
Oracle chooses Arden Corporation for Oracle University programs
Recently, Oracle finalized its decision to use Arden Corporation to deliver its technical education programs. This will allow companies in the greater Cincinnati area to have access to Oracle education without having to travel. Arden Corporation's Managing Partner, Robert Gepfert, noted, " It is encouraging to be able to offer this technical education to the information technology professionals in this region. One of our key areas of focus for the technical education division at Arden Corporation is to help I.T. professionals in this region improve through local education. This training helps expand that competency."
Facilities for new national hospital accreditation firm
A division of an international client of Arden's, who has received approval from the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to become a new hospital accreditation organization, has been using the Arden Center for training their auditors.. This is the first new hospital accreditation organization in more than 40 years.
Recommendations from training industry expert Elliott Massie
Robert Gepfert of Arden Corporation recently attended an international symposium that included training industry trends. Thin slicing this information yields this summary:
A. Reskilling of the current work force will be a higher percentage of education
B. Increased use of blended learning will help reduce classroom time

Mentoring for Inner City Family
As a part of our corporate work helping fatherless individuals in Cincinnati, we took an individual to Notre Dame for a site visit and football game recently. This individual, Ronnie Smith, is from a family of five children - none of whose fathers have been involved in their lives. We continually provide events and support for these five children (now adults) and their mother, Virginia Smith. One part of this is providing opportunities like this trip to help increase their level of motivation to become even better citizens and individuals.
VMWare Training
Through Arden Corporation's partnership with New Age Technologies, training on administration of VMWare software has been consistently available for the past two years. The September program was the fifth program run jointly by these two companies. These learning programs are being held at the Arden Corporation IBM Education center in Cincinnati.
