Technical Consulting - System Administration

The system administration work our technical consultants provide centers around IBM products.   Our technical consultants can help you migrate to a new version of software (i.e. from Notes Domino 6 to Notes Domino 7), create environment improvements, and they can help you troubleshoot problems.

Here are several examples of help Arden ’s technical consultants have provided:

Problem:            The staff at a Honda parts manufacturing plant lacked the requisite experience needed to migrate their Notes environment to the new software version.  Since e-mail is a vital aspect of their business operations, they did not want to experience any down time.

Solution:           One of Arden ’s technical consultants worked to help this client successfully migrate the infrastructure to a new server on a Saturday.  Due to the seasoned Notes Administrator’s efforts and expertise, there were few, if any, disruptions to business that day.

Problem:           A regional bank’s staff was experiencing problems with their Notes/Domino environment including unnecessarily large mail files, excessive amounts of Spam, the delivery of inappropriate attachments, and lack of redundancy

Solution:           In merely two days our Notes Administrator added mail archives, adjusted the Spam filtering software, set up rules for mail delivery, and set up clustering.

Problem:           The staff at a regional health care organization found that their Notes infrastructure was bogged down and poorly organized

Solution:           After only one day, an Arden Technical Consultant was able to stop mail from going to dead mail, set up a solution for lost user i.d.'s, and get replication working properly therefore resolving the key issues.
